The story
About Jacob
Jacob Royle is a singer-songwriter rooted in the traditions of rock, folk, country and Americana
Writing music is in his blood and DNA. He writes for therapy, for creative outlet, and just for fun. What began as a private practice became something he couldn't keep to himself.
His songs are spare and honest — built around acoustic guitar, plain language, and the kind of melodies that stick around long after the record stops. His most recent release "I Need to Hear You", is an honest window into his soul, born of grief, yet full of hope. He shares his music so that listeners can explore and process their own experiences through song.
Jacob and his family attend Northminster Presbyterian Church in Peoria, IL where he and his wife are active in the worship band. He has written several worship songs for their congregation. Jacob is always working on new material, and writes music that fits the lyrics, not fitting into a single musical genre, but blending all of his influences.
I want to write songs that people sing along with because it touches something in their soul
